Our Arts and Craft sessions are inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement of the last 19th century. During this time Willliam Morris, John Ruskin and other artists and activists of this period, shocked by what Blake described as the dehumanising conditions of the ‘dark Satanic Mills’ of Victorian England, looked to these activities to restore humanity’s dignity.

A Practical Guide to Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau - First Editions Book Blog
Magazine run by Morris which looked at practical ways which people could take part in the movement

The Crafts which we have assembled look to give the participant and sense of achievement and learning. You will come away thrilled and delighted at your ability to work and produce an item, or two, which you can be proud of.

Unless stated, anyone 12 and above should be able to do them. We will be creating sign up forms but if you are interested in any of them for now please email hello@elementsschool.net
